In the harsh mountain environments is found this tree like plant that grows clinging to the rock surface.
Its roots are anchored in the cracks in the rocks and its woody stems extend outward pressed against the rock surface.
The stems are woody just like a tree.
When still alive the stems are covered with bark and the branches have grey leaves.
