#240 - Sunflowers and bees.

It was around ten in the morning when we are in this farm and one of the flowers they grow are sunflowers. I saw one of the flowers visited by a tiny honeybee. It was walking on the petals side after it landed. Maybe scouting where the best part of the flower to gather pollens or maybe it is already gathering them in that spot.

It then flew to another flower just nearby and only a couple of steps away from me. I took this shot as it gathers the pollen in the left side of the flower.

Then it flew again to another flower just also nearby and continue to gather pollens. That was the last time I saw it as it flew away close by but did not pursue it anymore.

Here is my wife one early morning and we are in another location which is inside the University of the Philippines in Diliman. We came here early for the sunflowers which is also the reason other people visited early just to get photos of the once a year event. The school only plant the flowers right before graduation day.

The avenue entrance of the University is planted with rows and rows of sunflowers. Painting the road with yellow colored flowers for a few hundred meters. The sunflower here are different from the above flowers from the farm ee visited. The inner part of the flower is a bit darker here.
