These properties make it ideal for treating diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia, since it has antioxidants that prevent cellular deterioration characteristic of aging. Likewise, it is involved in the control of cholesterol and blood pressure, which favors cardiovascular health. Currently, in Venezuela because of the high cost of medicines, they use garlic to control their blood pressure.

There are several ways to consume garlic to treat hypertension, the most common, at least in Venezuela, is to eat two cloves of garlic on an empty stomach with water. However it is possible to make a garlic salt or macerate it in olive oil or if you prefer, you can make a garlic tea.
