Jay, Dallas and I went out to the quarry to fish for some Rainbows.
The quarry is a 2.5hr drive south of us.
A short walk to the quarry from the highway.
Dallas getting some holes drilled. We didn’t end up staying in this spot, it was way too shallow.
Jay and I got some wood while Dallas drilled a few more holes at a different spot on the quarry.
Jay and Dallas getting the wood split and the fire started.
Dallas is really trying to look for them Rainbows.. nope, none down there!
After a few hours there we changed spots again.
Good thing too! the wind decided to pick up.
It was still a bit cold so Jay built a little shelter and a fire.
After an hour in this spot and some leftover deer burgers we decided to head back to the truck since the Rainbows weren’t biting and that wind was bone chilling.
Porcupine Mountains in the distance.
Even though we got skunked by them Rainbows it was a great day!
Now for the 2.5hr ride back home.
