Yellow, everyone! For today's musical mood of the day I decided to go with one of my all time most favourite English bands, more specifically Madness, along with their great hit song 'Our House' which can just as well be perceived as traditional English music (contemporary traditional English music that is).
Madness is an English band formed in Camden Town, London in 1976 which was active until 1986 and then once more from 1992 onwards, with a relatively long hiatus in between (spanning 16 years in time). The band is rooted in the genres of two-tone, ska, pop, and new wave. The group most successful and internationally known hit single, namely 'Our House', was released way back in 1982.
This humorous hit single (accompanied by a likewise music video) has also inspired an eponymous musical which was release in 2003 and which featured a series of other songs by Madness.
