Music - Tuesday World Blues

hello fellow Hivians.... I have been trying to avoid social media, news and youtube for a while as I found I was wasting life going down super scary rabbit holes. I decided to do manual labor for a couple of weeks (picture below)... and some startling truths struck me during this time. To be revealed further down.

Elton John - I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues

Well, I dipped my toes back in the Hive stream yesterday with a post around a new cryptocurrency GRV and proceeded to check in on some of my regular supporters blogs. {sigh}... First up I meandered over to @kiwideb's blog and read her rant about brain dead, corrupt (my interpretation of the cause) officials Read it here

Sort of got me worked up as VAX mandates are a pet hate of mine "my body my choice" .. nonetheless I went over to check on what was happening on @diabolika's island.. and spiraled a small bit further into the blues after catching up with her here

*Elton John - Sad Songs (Say So Much)

Shaking my head in sympathy with her loss, I decided that @vrot most likely would cheer me up with an insane, incredibly complicated blog on some contentious subject (interesting man is @vrot) and he did not disappoint... ZAPPPP... another hour and a half of my life stolen in the @vrot conspiracy blog on Alex Jones.

I must admit he makes a compelling argument. At least it did not leave me crying in my pretzels

Neil Diamond - Soggy Pretzels

At this stage I was a bit nervous to visit other sites... so I got up and poured me a midday Gin and Tonic.. just a small one not much more than three tots... and tentatively clicked on @ edje's feed. I was relieved, but also surprised that he has not blogged for a while.. even longer than myself. I moved on feeling ashamed to feel so relieved.

Back to my manual labor and my two truths. My good lady decided she wanted a bit more privacy from the street view as we leave our front doors and blinds open almost all the time. I decided to put up Nutech cladding all on my lonesome. A noble endeavor indeed so I thought.

Leonard Cohen - Tower of Song

Well my friends are gone and my hair is grey
I ache in the places where I used to play
And I'm crazy for love but I'm not coming on
I'm just paying my rent every day
Oh in the Tower of Song

That is the very first truth I learnt ... this body aches in the places that it used to play... and many other places as well !!

The second truth is that organic cayenne pepper and turmeric really do work as anti-inflammatories. Truly. Each time I felt sore I took my tot of the above along with some ground black pepper (to assist absorption of Curcumin) and a small amount of Cinnamon ... NOT Cassia which is most commonly sold in stores. Within an hour I was up and raring to go !!

This post is getting long .... and I am falling down the Leonard Cohen rabbit hole so I better call this Closing Time .... I will do a small blog on my DIY project.

Leonard Cohen - Closing Time

Ah we're drinking and we're dancing
and the band is really happening
and the Johnny Walker wisdom running high
And my very sweet companion
she's the Angel of Compassion
she's rubbing half the world against her thigh
And every drinker every dancer
lifts a happy face to thank her
the fiddler fiddles something so sublime
all the women tear their blouses off
and the men they dance on the polka-dots
and it's partner found, it's partner lost
and it's hell to pay when the fiddler stops:
Yeah the women tear their blouses off
and the men they dance on the polka-dots
and it's partner found, it's partner lost
and it's hell to pay when the fiddler stops:
