2016 is the year that just keeps on taking when it comes to music stars. George Michael (born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou) was just a few years older than me and died yesterday, possibly of heart failure. I can't say I was a massive fan, but his music has been around since the 80s. It was obvious he wanted to be a big star. He had a great voice, the looks and wrote catchy songs. Wham were one of the first western acts to tour China.
We were singing Last Christmas at our pub session last week. I used to have a little Yamaha keyboard that used it as the demo tune, so it's burnt into my brain.
