ADE SPECIAL ||| The Baron of Techno ||| Dave Clarke

Dave Clarke is a well respected artist in the electronic dance scene and earned himself the nickname "The Baron of Techno". For as long as I know, he is one of the constant factor in the scene. The guy who loves punk and post-punk, but also the guy who loves a whole wide range of music styles. Ten years or so ago, he decided to move his home to Amsterdam, a good choice as he himself says. Amsterdam was his inspiration for his latest Album, "the first real Album", according to his own statements.

Although I not always like his sets, and I listened to many of them throughout the last 20 or so years, I do respect his skills behind the decks, his strive for excellence, his knowledge, and his intelligence very much and I'm always a big supporter!

I share with you one of his sets that I think is very good and I personally really liked: his performance at 20 years Awakenings festival held last summer. At the same time I also share one of the tracks of his new album, so you get an understanding of how this album is different to what you may have heard from his previous productions and even more from his sets.
