La película inicia mostrándonos al protagonista Dan Forester, un ex militar y ahora científico que vive como una persona normal en los Estados Unidos con una esposa y una hermosa hija a la cual siempre les repite lo importante que es la ciencia.

The film opens with the protagonist Dan Forester, a former military man and now a scientist who lives as a normal person in the United States with a wife and a beautiful daughter to whom he always repeats how important science is.

Una tarde cuando ellos estaban mirando la copa mundial del futbol y un delantero de Brasil estaba por meter un gol, de la nada en medio del campo apareció una extraña niebla de la cual salieron soldados armados y dijeron lo siguiente: Nosotros somos ustedes (30) años en el futuro, estamos librando una guerra. Nuestro enemigo no es humano y estamos perdiendo.

One afternoon when they were watching the soccer world cup and a Brazilian striker was about to score a goal, out of nowhere in the middle of the field appeared a strange fog from which armed soldiers came out and said the following: We are you (30) years in the future, we are fighting a war. Our enemy is not human and we are losing.

Y dice que en 11 meses todos los seres humanos en el futuro serán borrados de la faz de la tierra si no los ayudan a luchar contra el enemigo.

Al pasar los 11 meses en las noticias informan que los lideres del mundo acordaron apoyar a los humanos del futuro y enviaron a muchos soldados y civiles para que ayudaran, pero el problema era que persona que iba al futuro era persona prácticamente muerta, entonces habían muchas personas en el presente que habían perdido a un ser querido y estaban en contra de luchar una guerra que prácticamente aun no era su guerra.

As the 11 months passed, the news reported that the leaders of the world agreed to support the humans of the future and sent many soldiers and civilians to help, but the problem was that the person who went to the future was practically a dead person, so there were many people in the present who had lost a loved one and were against fighting a war that was not yet practically their war.

Luego vemos como Dan que es profesor en la escuela intenta enseñarles ciencia a sus alumnos, pero ellos no quieren estudiar porque no le encuentran sentido estudiar o trabajar ya que en 50 años acabara la raza humana. Es aquí donde sale "Martin" el único alumno apasionado por la ciencia y en especial por los volcanes que mas adelante se convierte en una de las personas mas importantes en la película.

Then we see how Dan who is a teacher at the school tries to teach science to his students, but they do not want to study because they do not find sense to study or work since in 50 years the human race will end. It is here where "Martin", the only student who is passionate about science and especially about volcanoes, later becomes one of the most important people in the film.

A Dan le llega un mensaje del gobierno, que había sido elegido para hacer la prueba para ir al futuro, no cualquier persona podía viajar al futuro porque habían muchos requisitos, pero el requisito principal es que las personas que viajen al futuro no deberían estar con vida para evitar paradojas. Buscaron el certificado de difusión de Dan y encontraron la información que Moria en el 2029 entonces fácilmente el podía viajar al 2051.

Dan gets a message from the government, that he had been chosen to do the test to go to the future, not just anyone could travel to the future because there were many requirements, but the main requirement is that people who travel to the future should not be alive to avoid paradoxes. They looked for Dan's diffusion certificate and found the information that Moria in 2029 so he could easily travel to 2051.

Dan le fue a avisar a su esposa que fue seleccionado, su esposa de inmediato le dice que huyan para que no fuera al futuro, pero Dan le explico que si el gobierno detectaba que no quería viajar, entonces obligarían a su esposa o otro familiar por el.

Dan went to tell his wife that he was selected, his wife immediately told him to run away so that he would not go to the future, but Dan explained that if the government detected that he did not want to travel, then they would force his wife or another relative to do it for him.

Dan fue a hablar con su padre a ver si podía evitar que lo enviaran a el, ya que el papa tenia mucha importancia en el gobierno, pero debido a que su papa lo abandono desde pequeño no se llevaban muy bien y al final su conversación termino en una pelea y ni siquiera le pidió el favor.

Llego el momento en que Dan debía viajar al futuro y se despidió de su esposa y su hija, antes paso por un corto entrenamiento donde conoció a dos amigo Charlie y Dorian que eran los que lo acompañarían en el viaje.
Ya que Dan era entre todos los civiles el único con entrenamiento militar, era considerado como el jefe del pelotón y le dan la orden que tiene que ir a un laboratorio a buscar la muestra de un material biológico.

The time came for Dan to travel to the future and he said goodbye to his wife and daughter, before he went through a short training where he met two friends Charlie and Dorian who were the ones who would accompany him on the trip.

Since Dan was the only civilian with military training, he was considered the platoon leader and was given the order to go to a laboratory to look for a sample of a biological material.

Quien le da orden es un personaje importante, la teniente jefa de todos. Dan con los pocos civiles que tiene al mando llega al laboratorio y consiguen lo que buscaban y allí es donde podremos ver quienes son los culpables de la extinción de la humanidad en el 2051.

Who gives the order is an important character, the chief lieutenant of all. Dan with the few civilians he has in command arrives at the laboratory and they get what they were looking for and that is where we can see who are the culprits of the extinction of humanity in 2051.

Estos monstruos grandes y feos se comportan como unos salvajes y comienzan a cazar a los humanos, tienen la capacidad de lanzar espinas con una potencia igual a la de un disparo y solo tienen dos debilidades el pecho y el cuello, cuando se enteran que esa es su debilidad es que comienzan a escapar con las muestras del laboratorio.

These big and ugly monsters behave like savages and begin to hunt humans, they have the ability to throw thorns with a power equal to that of a gunshot and have only two weaknesses, the chest and neck, when they learn that this is their weakness is that they begin to escape with samples from the laboratory.

Mas tarde Dan despierta en una base militar donde solamente los tres amigos sobrevivieron a esa misión, pero aun no pueden volver al 2021 porque para que termine el tiempo de reclutamiento deben estar una semana mas en el 2051, los 2 amigos de Dan son llamados para otra misión y Dan por lo contrario es llamado por la teniente jefa de todos. Dan Forester al conocer a la jefa le pregunta su nombre y ella le dice que se llama Muri Forester, es donde Dan se da cuenta que es su hija con treinta años demás, el intenta abrazarla pero ella dice que mejor no.

Later Dan wakes up in a military base where only the three friends survived that mission, but still can not return to 2021 because for the end of the recruitment time they must be one more week in 2051, the 2 friends of Dan are called for another mission and Dan on the contrary is called by the lieutenant chief of all. Dan Forester when meeting the boss asks her name and she tells him that her name is Muri Forester, it is where Dan realizes that she is his daughter with thirty years left, he tries to hug her but she says that he better not.

Muri le explica que no había escogido estar en esta misión junto a el por que quería pasar tiempo con el, si no por que mas adelante tenia que asignarle una misión. Allí le muestra un video de un alíen hembra asegurándole que los machos morirían por protegerla para asegurar la sobrevivencia de su especie. Lo mas raro en esta criatura es que ninguna toxina hacia efecto en ella, así que tenia que estudiarla para saber como acecinar a los alienígenas que habían aparecido de la nada sin ser detectados por ningún radar, había que atrapar a la hembra.

Muri explains to him that she had not chosen to be on this mission with him because she wanted to spend time with him, but because she had to assign him to a mission later on. There she shows him a video of a female alien assuring him that the males would die to protect her to ensure the survival of their species. The strangest thing about this creature is that no toxin had any effect on her, so he had to study her to know how to kill the aliens that had appeared out of nowhere without being detected by any radar, he had to catch the female.

Muri selecciono un equipo y salió en busca de la hembra, para atraparla y comenzar a estudiarla, esta criatura era muy poderosa que aunque la tenían amarrada su gran fuerza impedía que lograran encerrarla y a pesar que el equipo luchaba contra ella parecía ser una misión imposible, pero Dan y su hija lograron atraparla y huyeron en una camioneta militar.

Muri selected a team and went in search of the female, to catch her and begin to study her, this creature was so powerful that although they had her tied up her great strength prevented them from being able to lock her up and although the team fought against her it seemed to be an impossible mission, but Dan and his daughter managed to catch her and fled in a military van.

Con la hembra capturada y sedada, Muri y su equipo comienzan a hacer todos los estudios necesarios para obtener una toxina capaz de destruir a todos los alienígenas hasta lograrlo. Dan estaba feliz por que ese seria el fin de la guerra, pero Muri le explica que la guerra en el futuro esta perdida ya que no existe un lugar donde se pueda producir la toxina en grandes cantidades. Es en ese momento donde ella le revela que lo llamo solo con la intención de que el llevara la toxina al pasado y así evitar que suceda esta guerra.

With the female captured and sedated, Muri and his team begin to do all the necessary studies to obtain a toxin capable of destroying all the aliens until they succeed. Dan was happy that this would be the end of the war, but Muri explains to him that the war in the future is lost since there is no place where the toxin can be produced in large quantities. It is at that moment where she reveals to him that she called him only with the intention that he would take the toxin to the past and thus prevent this war from happening.

En eso la hembra lanza un grito atrayendo a todos los alienígenas para que la vallan a rescatar y vemos como miles de ellos comienzan a atacar la base destruyéndola por completo. Dan y Mui huyen hacia las plataformas en busca de un helicóptero y no se percataron de la presencia de la hembra que en modo de venganza termino hiriendo de muerte a Muri.

At that moment the female screams, attracting all the aliens to come to her rescue and we see how thousands of them begin to attack the base, destroying it completely. Dan and Mui flee to the platforms in search of a helicopter and did not notice the presence of the female who in revenge ended up mortally wounding Muri.

El panorama era desolador, Muri no podía moverse y para empeorar las cosas, el tiempo que le quedaba a Dan en el futuro se estaba agotando, Muri estaba muy triste y le dice que así era como lo recordaba, como un hombre valiente y le pide a su padre que evite a toda costa que esto suceda en el pasado. Dan le dice que esta muy orgulloso de ella y aparece la alienígena hembra sujeta a Muri para llevársela. Aunque todo estaba claramente perdido.

The picture was bleak, Muri could not move and to make matters worse, Dan's time left in the future was running out, Muri was very sad and tells him that this was how she remembered him, as a brave man and asks her father to prevent this from happening in the past at all costs. Dan tells her that he is very proud of her and the female alien appears holding Muri to take her away. Although all was clearly lost.

Dan se lanzo para intentar ayudarla, pero justo en ese momento se le acabo el tiempo regresando a Dan al pasado.

Dan rushed to try to help her, but just at that moment the time ran out, returning Dan to the past.

Cuando Dan regresa a casa y ve a Muri, la abraza fuertemente y después le cuenta a su esposa lo que había visto en el futuro, que de alguna forma tenían que ayudar a su hija. Ella le pregunta ¿Cuándo será el primer ataque de los alienígenas? el le responde que será en el Norte de Rusia en el 2048, ella le sugiere esperar con un ejercito cuando bajen en sus naves, pero el le responde que nunca se vieron las naves en que bajaron, que en realidad no se sabia como habían aterrizado, la esposa le dice que de seguro ellos llegaron hace muchos años atrás y no el mismo año del ataque, que ya estaban entre ellos, para mi ese fue el mejor resumen que hubo en la película porque fue donde analizaron ellos dos y no la ciencia.

When Dan returns home and sees Muri, he hugs her tightly and then tells his wife what he had seen in the future, that somehow they had to help their daughter. She asks him when will be the first attack of the aliens? he answers that it will be in the North of Russia in 2048, she suggests him to wait with an army when they come down in their ships, but he answers her that the ships in which they came down were never seen, that in fact it was not known how they landed, the wife tells him that for sure they arrived many years ago and not the same year of the attack, that they were already among them, for me that was the best summary that was in the movie because it was where they analyzed the two and not the science.

De inmediato Dan sale en busca de sus amigos pidiéndoles que lo ayuden a salvar a su hija y utilizan una garra que le arrancaron a un alíen como recuerdo, para que la estudie Charlie que era un científico importante en el sector privado, el revela que la garra tenia cenizas provenientes de un volcán Chino Coreano, esto no tenia sentido por que los alíens habían sido descubiertos en Rusia, como esto tenia que ver con volcanes el indicado para explicarlo era "Martin" que les explica que esto podía haber pasado en una gran erupción que hubo hace muchos años entre China y Corea dejando incluso cenizas enterradas en el hielo, entonces ellos deducen que los alíens tenían estas cenizas por que salieron de las profundidades del hielo.

Immediately Dan goes in search of his friends asking them to help him save his daughter and they use a claw that was torn from an alien as a souvenir, to be studied by Charlie who was an important scientist in the private sector, he reveals that the claw had ashes coming from a Chinese-Korean volcano, this did not make sense because the aliens had been discovered in Russia, as this had to do with volcanoes the right person to explain it was "Martin" who explained that this could have happened in a big eruption many years ago between China and Korea leaving even ashes buried in the ice, then they deduced that the aliens had these ashes because they came out of the depths of the ice.

Con esta nueva teoría, ellos van a hablar directamente con el secretario de defensa de los Estados Unidos y el les niega su ayuda. Así que decidieron quebrantar las leyes internacionales para volar a Rusia, el pone a su padre que era el único capaz de pilotear un avión, también se unieron a ellos los soldados que habían quedado atrapados en el pasado y que lograron replicar las toxinas que asesinarían a los espinas blancas.

With this new theory, they go to talk directly to the U.S. Secretary of Defense and he denies them help. So they decide to break international laws to fly to Russia, he puts his father who was the only one capable of piloting a plane, they are also joined by soldiers who had been trapped in the past and who managed to replicate the toxins that would kill the white thorns.

Cuando el equipo llega a Rusia no ven nada inusual hasta que las brújulas se enloquecen, colocan explosivos en el área tratando explotar las profundidades y es allí donde encuentran la nave espacial e ingresan para eliminar a todos los alíens en silencio ya que si notifican y esto se iba a manos del gobierno se iban a complicar las cosas. Entonces comienzan a inyectarlos con la toxina y todo estaba funcionando, pero de inmediato estas criaturas cobran vida y cuando Dan esta a punto de acecinar a la hembra ella escapa.

When the team arrives in Russia they see nothing unusual until the compasses go crazy, they place explosives in the area trying to explode the depths and that is where they find the spaceship and enter to eliminate all the aliens quietly because if they notify and this went to the government they were going to complicate things. Then they begin to inject them with the toxin and everything was working, but immediately these creatures come to life and when Dan is about to kill the female she escapes.

La hembra se esconde entre la tormenta de nieve y a los pocos segundos se aparece para matar a Dan.
Dan sabia que esa era la única oportunidad que tenia para matar la alíen y así salvar a su hija, cuando la alíen lo tenia acorralado llego su padre y le clavo una daga en el ojo tratando de salvar a su hijo.

The female hides in the snowstorm and a few seconds later appears to kill Dan.

Dan knew that this was the only chance he had to kill the alien and save his daughter, when the alien had him cornered, his father arrived and stabbed him with a dagger in the eye trying to save his son.

Dan aprovecho ese momento para inyectarle la toxina en el brazo, la hembra al ver que el brazo se desintegraba se lo arranco para que la toxina no continuara en su cuerpo y siguió en su lucha para matar a Dan

La bestia se lanzo encima de Dan nuevamente sin saber que el la esperaba con la toxina para finalmente destruirla así perdiera la vida en el intento. fue cuando su papa se hace un corte en la mano para atraerla y salvar a su hijo aunque esto significara su muerte.

The beast lunged at Dan again, not knowing that he was waiting for it with the toxin to finally destroy it even if he lost his life in the attempt, when his father cut his hand to lure it away and save his son even if it meant his death.

Sin embargo Dan llega a tiempo para enfrentarla armado con la garra y finalmente logra colocar la toxina en el hocico y es donde finalmente la destruye a la bestia...

However, Dan arrives in time to confront it armed with the claw and finally manages to place the toxin in the snout where he finally destroys the beast...

Después vemos que el secretario de la defensa aparece en televisión, declarando que el fue el cerebro detrás de toda esta acción para destruir a los alienígenas, pero obviamente sabemos que esto es una gran mentira. ya que el demostró ser un poco hombre negándole a los soldados su apoyo.

We then see the Secretary of Defense appear on television, declaring that he was the mastermind behind this whole action to destroy the aliens, but obviously we know that this is a big lie, as he proved to be a bit of a man by denying the soldiers their support.

La película termina mostrándonos que Dan regresa a casa con su papa junto a su familia prometiéndoles nunca mas volver a abandonarlos...

The film ends with Dan returning home to his father and his family, promising never to leave them again...
