Are You Feeling a Bit Down...? Let's Go to Iceland! [A Movie Review]

Today is Saturday... so, why don't you take some time off and watch a very witty and beautiful comedy...?

Land Ho! is a movie directed by a couple of American directors, Aaron Katz & Martha Stephens, spoken in English, but mostly filmed in Iceland.

The story is a simple one, a couple of friends who were married to two sisters end up divorcing them and stay in touch... on of them has also retired from work recently. To ease their sorrows they decide to embark on a trip to Iceland, to see the sights, enjoy the nightlife, the natural attractions, eat at the best restaurants, relax at the spas... basically, to enjoy life. 🤗

One of the friends, Mitch, is a very modern old man, who keeps lighting a joint wherever they go. He is incredibly joyful and always making funny remarks about everything.

The other guy, Colin, is a little more introvert and realistic but he opens up when they are together.

There are a few arguments between them but never too serious, as their friendship always override their divergences.

At times, some women pop into the scene, it's just not the two of them all the time. 😊

There is a lot more I could tell but I hope I've said enough to make you want to see the film... without spoiling anything at all.

After you watch this movie you will probably have a desire to visit Iceland and go to some of the spots they visited.

The actors are quite good and consistent. They were perfect in their roles. You can really get a feeling of empathy with both of the friends, even more when they have a few heated discussions.

The movie is excellent, due to its wonderful story and hilarious dialogues! The scenarios are breathtaking and make it even more worthwhile to watch.

I give this movie an 8 out of 10 rating. If you love road movies and watching amazing landscapes, I'm sure you'll love this title.
