Mountains of Sand at Higbee Beach

I went to Higbee Beach a lot last Spring and Summer. On the dead end road leading to the parking lot of the State Park, I bought a small brown turkey fig plant for $10 at a roadside stand. I just need one mother plant, and eventually I'll hopefully have enough clones to sell indefinitely. Anyway, the farmer said he'd seen me a lot and asked if I'm a local. I told him I walk around a lot and I go to the park quite often.

It's now been over a month since I've been down to the Cape May Peninsula. I'm still stuck working a night job. Back in August, I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd perform on the Wildwood Boardwalk. I arrived at the last night of the Barefoot Country Music Festival right in time to hear Sweet Home Alabama. They then preceded to close the set with Free Bird. They extended the ending of the latter song, and it sounded like metal. They were excellent! I then watched Zac Brown Band headline. I'm not a huge fan of country music, but Zac Brown was really good. They played Enter Sandman. They also played a long encore melody of diverse cover songs that I wouldn't have expected to hear. I also saw and heard parts of other country music artists play, including Carrie Underwood. I was at the boardwalk walking around every night during the event, but I only stayed and watched a lot of it on Sunday night. Someone who left early handed me a bracelet to get in, but I had a bike with me and no lock, so I handed the bracelet to someone else. It was better watching from up on the boardwalk anyway.
