There was a study done where doctors gave amphetamines (CNS stimulants) to patients, telling them the pills were barbiturates (sedative drugs). In this experiment, everybody experienced their bodies slowing down.
Then, they did the same experiment again, but this time, the doctors gave barbiturates to the patients and told them they were amphetamines. This time, everybody, without exception, experienced acceleration in their physiology.
It's far scarier than the infamous placebo affect. It just shows how much belief we have on drugs generally
I always warned both ladies and guys about the words they use when they label their experiences with life.
For example, using words like "failure", "frustration", or "retrogression" will always translate into negative emotions in your body, just like positive confessions will always translate into positive energy.
