Keeping Hopes Alive

People that are knowledgeable about agriculture will know that when a tree is cut down, when the rains start to come and after a while, the tree will sprout again. This is just to tell you that there is hope of a tree even at the point it is cut down. In the same way, hope is not lost as long as the very essence of existence - :life" itself is not lost. Temporary setbacks do not equal to absolute loss of hope.

No matter what you are going through, it does not negate that fact that everything will be better with time. The only absolute hopeless situation is if there is permanent cessation of life. However, if life is sustained, then hopes are sustained too. With a combination of patience and the right work, then brighter days will surely come. When unpleasant situations come to you, just see them as life's experiences that are set to bring out the best out of life for you.

You will agree with me that every orange has a juice inside it. However, there is no way you can successfully extract the sweet juice from the orange without first squeezing it. Similarly, when life squeezes you, it should boost your hope that the best in you is about to be unleashed. Moreover, challenges are not meant to make you hopeless but principally to sharpen your hope.

It is worthy to note that life itself does not promise you a challenge-free adventure. In life, the occurrence of challenges is inevitable but one thing you should bank your hopes on is that you will always overcome them. For it to come to you is a clear indication that you are well able and very equipped to take it on and emerge triumphantly. Even when you face the challenges the first time and fail at it, it does not mean you should give up hope. There is still possibility of succeeding at subsequent trials.

I watched a boxing tournament between two heavyweight boxers. During the first minutes of the tournament, the contestant was knocked down. Luckily, he was able to get back on his feet before the countdown elapsed. This same thing happened during the second round. In all these, he continued because a knockdown does not automatically correlate to a knockout. The amazing part of it is that the boxer that was knocked down twice gave a surprised comeback punch to his opponent and knocked him out.

You see, he later won the boxing tournament through a knockout even though he had initially suffered from a knockdown. In the same way, that life gives you a knockdown does not make you to lose hope, after all it is not yet a knockout until your hopes have been lost. Winners are not necessarily those that have never lost any battle or those that have not been challenged at all, but also those that refused to give up at the first knockdown and still put up a "can do" spirit.

It is not over in life until your have lost the hopes of something getting better. This means that if you have not concluded that it is over, then it cannot be over. Most times, people normally call it a quit when they are almost close to their dawn. This why you should not stop giving life another shot because you will not know when your breakthrough will come.
