Does Location Really Matter?

A few years back, I ran a fish pond business. In the initial stage of the business, I raised the fish inside small plastic ponds of various sizes. I later discovered that the fish in the bigger plastic ponds were growing faster and bigger than the fish in the smaller plastic ponds. However, none of them grew as big as the ones my friend raised in open earthen pond. In all these, I realized that the growth of the fish were related to their immediate environment. So also are very many other things related to their location.

There are some struggles that people are going through that can easily be avoided only if they are positioned in the right location. Even when you want to establish a business, after you have answered all other questions (like "what" and "when") you should not forget about the important question "where".

When you take a fish from its natural habitat - water, and place it on the land, what do you think will happen? Obviously, the fish will undergo so much stress and struggles and will eventually die. In the same way, moving away from your appointed location will definitely have a stressing effect on you.

That people are moving to a particular location or are making it in a particular location does not mean that the location is suitable for you too. Remember, the journey to future and to destiny is individual and not collective. I am sure you have seen or heard this popular saying:

Your allocation is in your location

What this means is that what happens to you always has a direct or remote link to where you are - your location. Staying in the right location has already put a plus on you and every other thing will begin to fall into place for you.

It is also worthy to note that a location may be right for you at the moment but it does not mean that it will forever be right. At each point of your life, you should be able to know if you are to change location or to remain in the same location. Trust me, if your location is already tired of you, you will know, but sometimes, people tend to get too attached to a particular location that they feel reluctant to move.

One of the signs that normally show that you should change your location is when growth begins to stunt or when you start to feel unsatisfied with the trend of events. It may not be something wrong with you but it may just be your location that is affecting your progress.

Staying for too long in a particular spot without moving may cause more problems than the solutions they are providing to the existing problems. When a body of water stays for long in stagnancy, it has the propensity to start smelling, but when it flows out, it will remain fresh. In the same way, being stagnated in a particular location is not the solution, you need know which location is good for you at each time.
