There is this popular story of a wise man that got many people involved in a competition and he attached handsome reward.
The task involved in the competition was to get a person who will graphically illustrate true peace. That is, paint a picture that depicts true peace status
One person came with picture of a beautiful sunset beach, depicting peace and serenity. Another one drew a picture of three layers vegetation of a tropical rain forest, showing green vegetation.
To the amazement of everyone, one person drew a tree in the midst of storm, tilting to one side as if it will break, but there is a bird on the tree inside its next fast asleep! That was the picture that won the competition.
True peace is not the absence of war or crises, but the absolute serenity that surrounds a man in the midst of storm. Peace is not an absence of trouble in your life, but the calm feeling you have even when things are going the opposite direction.
Staying in peace is not staying out of trouble, but staying in calmness and serenity of heart. You can enjoy true peace!
