Isra Mi'raj is the second part of the journey by Prophet Muhammad in one night only. This incident was one of the most important events for Muslims, for it was on this occasion that he received an order to perform the five daily prayers a day. Some depictions of this incident can be seen in the 17th chapter of the Qur'an, Surah Al-Isra.
Traditionally, this journey is associated with Lailat al-Mi'raj, as one of the most important dates in the Islamic calendar.
