How do you cope with being misunderstood? I don't do well every single time. There is always this stabbing pain I feel in my chest and a certain heaviness in my larynx that makes it hard to utter a word. That moment I am dumbfounded. I am a teeny-weeny close to tears.
Most times I just sleep it off or take a long wandering walk. And if I'm lucky to find a stranger to talk to, I don't fail to pour my heart out in between tears.
This is how I cope with being misunderstood.source
