What is Money? - Money Speech - Ayn Rand

What is Money?

"Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value."

"The words ‘to make money’ hold the essence of human morality."

For those of you who have read Atlas Shrugged by author Ayn Rand, you will know that the "money speech" by fictional character Francisco d'Anconia is one of the best excerpts of the rather long book, if not THE BEST read from the book.

The message Francisco delivers here strikes a serious chord with me. This speech is... one of my favorite reads of all time.

I invite you to read the script of Francisco's speech and leave your thoughts below in a comment.
