Looking to wind down? Could Meditation be cheapest way?

Hello Kind Mindful Steemians!

We live for about 700-800K hours on this planet (well if we are lucky to live 80-90 years). How we spend those hours is our own choice. But our choices have consequences - as our beloved @porters put it - ""If we have a positive and compassionate outlook of life, cultivate good karma, and work towards improving the spiritual quality of life, we will find more happiness in our life.". She adds quote by Leonardo Da Vinci "Just as a well spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings a happy death." How tuned am I with this? And thus, we are free to choose but we are not free from the consequences of our choices.

Attention Economy
For better or worse "Attention economy" is taking shape in the world digital today. Our attention is our capital. But our attention is being pulled in every direction we know including steemit. We all have 1440 minutes a day and most of our waking minutes are spent on attending to things outside. Do we pay attention to what is happening inside? Are we purely reacting to the demands of the mine "need to be updated on everything" "pay me attention" "I need to post this" "need to learn about #palnet" and so on? Ah...I need to complete some survey to get those tokens.......See what's my earning on cryptos and so on. As Stephen Covey, the best selling author of 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People used to say - we are consumed by things that are urgent and what is in front without realizing whether it is important and whether it adds value to long term goal.

Do you ever feel running like a headless chicken? Do you feel burned out and exhausted? Do you feel like you need to get in touch with yourself to align your values? As a learned monk once said - to be in peace means our thought, action and speech are in perfect harmony. And to align our action (well in this sense "ATTENTION") with our values we need to get in touch with ourselves or the stillness within. Wondering how?

Mindful Life Community
At #Mindfullife community, we encourage and support each other to pay a little bit more attention to ourselves as and when we can / want. In addition to the mindful and kind conversation on the Discord server, we also run regular meditation.

Meditation is not just the cheapest way to get high (as someone puts it) but highly effective way to wind down, meet yourself and enjoy your own company and to align our "attention" with our values.

  • Wednesdays 8:30 to 9:30 pm London time
    (8:30-8:40 pm check in & brief guidance, 8:40-9:10pm guided meditation and 9:10 to 9:30pm Q & A plus chitchat)

  • Saturdays 5:30 to 7:00pm London time
    (5:30-5:40pm check in & brief guidance, 5:40-6:40pm guided meditation and 6:40 to 7:00pm Q & A plus chitchat).

But you are welcome to join just guided meditation session if time prevents you from joining the whole 1 to 1.5 hours.
