Comienzo esta linda semana participando en la iniciativa propuesta por @nainaztengra, y específicamente voy a responder a la siguiente pregunta: *** 1️⃣ Las mujeres tenemos múltiples fases en nuestra vida en las que pasamos por un desequilibrio hormonal, como la menstruación mensual, el embarazo, la menopausia. No sólo nuestra salud física sino también nuestra salud mental se ve afectada. Comparte con nosotros, ¿cómo te cuidas en estos momentos tan delicados y cuidas tu salud física y mental? *** En mi caso, he vivido únicamente la experiencia de la menstruación hasta ahora, y es cierto que es un momento delicado para nosotras las mujeres, sobre todo cuando surgen los temibles cólicos menstruales. # Su aparición es diferente en cada mujer, hay quienes tienen cólicos todos los días durante su menstruación. En mi caso mayormente me ocurre en el primer día, y en raras ocasiones en el segundo día de mi menstruación. ¿Y qué hago para cuidar de mi misma y transitar de la mejor manera posible esos días tanto física como mentalmente? # *** ## 1)Usar compresas calientes *** ![3_20231008_182156_0002.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mariiestefania/23wXJA3qaVNxkz738bRwwMbTL6FKfwD4psuXdwNA5Zzmi6Qa4r3xoZ1QynFXNsNf7DZH4.png) Un gran aliado en esos días es el calor, especialmente cuando se aplica en la parte baja del abdomen usando compresas calientes, pues ayuda a aliviar el dolor. En mi caso pongo a calentar agua en una olla y cuando está en punto de ebullición la retiro de la hornilla, para seguidamente sumergir cuidadosamente dentro del agua por unos 30 segundos aproximadamente la compresa de gel térmico. En un principio antes de colocarla en mi abdomen bajo envuelvo la compresa en una tela delgada para irme acostumbrando a la temperatura, y posteriormente si la dejo reposar directamente sobre mi piel. Ese procedimiento lo repito hasta experimentar el suficiente alivio. # *** ## 2)Tomar una pastilla de ibuprofeno *** ![5_20231008_182156_0004.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mariiestefania/23yxCJm38tjEXnjmLU1XPJ72ypvQmhdCBaw43d3LEPNFdVff7bnpx6SEo49c9tdjjHznY.png) Hay días en los que el dolor por el cólico es demasiado intenso, o que simplemente no cede aunque se utilicen compresas calientes, y para esos momentos el medicamento que se convierte en mi mejor amigo es el ibuprofeno. Una sola pastilla del analgésico en mi caso es más que suficiente para aliviar el dolor, tardando aproximadamente media hora en hacerme efecto y posterior a ello no necesito tomar más dosis, lo cual es maravilloso. # *** ## 3)Permitirme descansar y relajarme *** ![7_20231008_182156_0006.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mariiestefania/23xLFpzt5ahcdgWvSfaN1TmQizj9Bzqwvds8dNtXye2vTxyG4RjJvGwg6ewB7HfC6pxMQ.png) Cuando estoy en casa me ayuda a sentirme mejor en esos días descansar y relajarme en la medida de lo posible, evitando altos niveles de estrés para cuidar de mi salud mental. Además, cuando se hacen presentes los cólicos menstruales intento acostarme en la cama para descansar, colocarme la compresa caliente cómodamente o relajarme después de tomarme la pastilla de ibuprofeno. Incluso a veces intento darme suaves caricias o masajes en el área de la parte baja del abdomen para consentirme y darme cariño. # En cuanto a los días de trabajo o de universidad en los que no es posible acostarse en la camita, lo que hago es no exigirme demasiado a mi misma, y al tener cólico tomarme pequeñas pausas de descanso y relajación cuando sea necesario, y por supuesto, recurrir a mi buen amigo el ibuprofeno. A todas por supuesto nos encanta sentirnos bien, así que en los momentos en los que andamos indispuestas físicamente por la menstruación es totalmente normal sentirnos frustradas e irritadas por la incomodidad y el dolor. Para esos momentos es una gran idea tener preparada una lista de reproducción con todas esas canciones que amamos y que pueden sacarnos una sonrisa y hacernos cantar incluso en esos días tan delicados para nosotras, al menos en mi caso la música siempre está presente para alegrar mis días. # Eso sería todo por hoy. Share with us, how do you take care of these sensitive times and take care of your physical and mental health? *** In my case, I have only lived the experience of menstruation so far, and it is true that it is a delicate time for us women, especially when the dreaded menstrual cramps arise. # Their appearance is different in each woman, there are those who have cramps every day during menstruation. In my case it mostly happens on the first day, and rarely on the second day of my menstruation. Also, when menstrual cramps become present I try to lie down in bed to rest, comfortably put on the warm compress or relax after taking my ibuprofen pill. I even sometimes try to give myself gentle caresses or massages in the lower abdominal area to pamper myself and give myself affection. # As for work or college days when it is not possible to lie in bed, what I do is not to demand too much of myself, and when I have colic I take short breaks of rest and relaxation when necessary, and of course, resort to my good friend ibuprofen. For those moments it is a great idea to have a playlist prepared with all those songs that we love and that can make us smile and make us sing even on those delicate days for us, at least in my case music is always present to brighten my days. # That would be all for today.
