The Met gala just came and went. A fashion filled event, both ridiculous and nice.
My question about the Met gala this year is must religion be involved? I am all for art, whether as a fashion statement or painting, but where it concerns religion then care must be taken.
The Met gala used Catholicism as an expression of fashion. It won't be a problem if they were worn appropriately and decently since the Catholic church consider them sacred.
Wearing them appropriately could be considered an honour but with flesh showing in all the wrong places and others could be considered a ridicle.
On this I agree with Piers Morgan, it is simply not Ok to use christainity as a fashion show-off and leaving out the values when Islam or Judaism cannot be attenpted.
If the Met gala organisers are short of ideas for their themes then get fresh minds to help you out.
