As Seen On Forbes: When The Buybacks Go Bye-Bye

The U.S. stock market has gone up about 300% since the lows in 2009.

2018 was the first year that the market was down since 2008. This coincided with a record number of stock buybacks by corporations. With all this stimulus, it is thought provoking to see what the market would look like without it.

Cheap credit meant that corporations were able to borrow the money for the buybacks at a very low rate.
