Join The '60 Seconds of Steem Social Media Party' & Help To Promote Steem On A Global Scale: Tomorrow 20th of February Starting From 10:00am EST!

Recognize that every interaction you have is an opportunity to make positive impact on others. - Shep Hyken

Let's make impact on future steemians!

According to a survey I carried out last summer, 58% of the Steem users got in contact with this network for the first time through friends, family and social media.

Social media networks are THE communities of the 21st century. The people we connect with online have a serious influence on us, our lives and our decision-making.

It's not advertisement, and it's not the media. It's our friends - the most powerful influencers worldwide.

Reason enough to leverage these global networking opportunities in order to increase Steem's brand awareness on a global scale.

Those of you who thought that the contest "60 Seconds of Steem" ended with the award ceremony last friday, will now realize that the party hasn't even started yet.

Are you ready?

Let's make some noise, steemians!

One shot.

In sales you usually do have that damn one shot.

If you fail at selling your product to customer X on Monday, you'd hardly sell it to him on Wednesday.

It's all about that one shot.

So let's not mess it up, steemians :-)

All you need to do is take your favorite Steem video ad(s) from the #sixtyseconds contest and share them in all of your social media networks. Not now, tomorrow!

You may have had reasons to stay away from Facebook in the past, but tomorrow could be a good day to ignore those for a little while.

The idea is to create an impact.

I don't like to use the world viral in this context, since it's incredibly challenging to make a topic going viral on the internet. But let's dream big and say that we'll make #Steem become Talk of town in the relevant networks tomorrow.

Which ones of these ads are you going to share with your social media friends tomorrow?

Think about the format - whether you're planning to upload a video to a network, embed it or share a link to the video on DTube or Youtube.

I'm actually posting this article today so that everybody has enough time to get prepared :-)

Here's your material:

Here's a link to all entries in case you prefer to share another one that's not on the list above. There have been incredible entries from many users such as @bitrocker2020, @coruscate, @ivansnz and @olegw, the @steembirds and many more.

There are actually not rules for your social media posts, but these recommendations:

  • Please use the tags #Steem and #sixtyseconds on Twitter and Instagram so that other steemians can find your posts, vote/like and share them.
  • Try to be sophisticated and avoid advertisy phrases such as: Join Steem now, Sign up today or Earn instantly, etc. Put yourself in the position of the observer! We want invite people, not buy them.
  • Don't spam! One post per network / day is totally fine. You don't need to share the same video in each channel, so if you have more than one favorite: use different ads for different channels.
  • Be steemy! Steem is a network of cool, smart, funny and open-minded people - try to transmit that feeling in your post.

See you tomorrow at 10:00am EST (3:00pm UTC).

You may actually want to follow my Twitter account @surfermarly where I'll get the social media party started myself tomorrow :-)

EDIT: Here's my Tweet in case you wanna like and retweet it :-)

Resteem this post for more visibility in the network (I never ask for resteems, but today I do for the sake of Steem :-)).

Best,
Marley -

PS: Don't forget to share your promotional activities on Steem (screenshots and links from your social media posts)- you may get rewarded for them. Make sure to use the hashtags #sixtyseconds and #promo-steem.
