Help Me Get An Incense Stand - The Brass Shop.

It was an usual day and my Mom asked me to get an "Incense Stand" from market. It is used to put incense sticks on it. Incense sticks are quite popular in India in every household , i belive everyone use to offer prayers by liting those scented/fraganted sticks. By liting those sticks, on one hand we offer prayers and on the second hand it gives a nice fragrance all around home giving a nice feeling.

Lately, our stand was misplaced and we wanted to get a new one. But the condition, it must be of Brass.

Hey @dswigle I am getting bit late in the #marketfriday but would you help me choose one.??

Once I visited the shop I got bit confused, as it was like buying everything from that one stop for all.

In India, when it comes to perform certain Puja or Yagna,or Rituals or Prayer vessels play a major role. And Brass is one which is considered very pure and pious. Be it any occassion and the priest always look out for brass vessel. And accordingly every indian household as far as Hinduism is concerned we keep a seperate vessels set. At least those items which are quite common an essentials.

Incense stand being one and Diyas the other.

Each of the item were very polished and kept in a very aligned manner. One after the another in a very sequential manner. Infact one can easily identify the shop from a far off because of the number of items displayed over there. And each of them shining enough to make your eyes glow.

Frankly, i never been to such shop before, as all the pooja or rituals shopping were done by My Mom, and also these were not the things which were purchased daily. Mostly in every hindu home, it is kind of legacy, which is carried from.one generation to another. Tye item at the worship place keep on rotating with each new generation being they are considered very auspicious.
So I went the Shop I was totally confused or become greedy to buy every thing. The whole store was full of different items.

It has everything. The items were bit costly than normal vessels. So the shopkeepers were very alert and keeping a strict vigil on every customers. Infact he noticed me and staring me as I was busy clicking picture.

So, I went to buy Incense stand but was pulled by the shining Diyas, and the very next min, I was attracted towards the "Bells". The hand bells were very popular item too, as the chumming sound helps to make the atmosphere quite blissful.

Be it any priest or saint or whenever we are worshipping, we rang the bells in hand, by holding from its long handle and shaking them slowly. Here in the shop, we found few designer items too which were painted in Red.

Apart from the usual Pooja or Worshipping items, the shop also hasn't showpieces and tumbler too. Many people love to showcase their wealth by keeping these big vessel in their drawing hall. Those cylindrical shaped vessel were big and displayed right at the back.

One after the another, i am getting bit greedy to posses all. By keeping these item for long, the shining usually vanishes giving a pale dull look. That what making me to buy everything to completelly change the entire vessel set in our worshipping room. But needed to be discussed before taking the giant step.

Those at my home were of many older times and my parents call them very pure as compared to the items available in current market. They belive currently the items were not genuine and comes with mixing with artificial metals. Anyway, I came back to my present from all the dream shopping and bought a simple looking Incense Stand and went back home.

Stay Calm....

Keep Steeming...Steem On !!!
