MakerDAO multisig dashboard

MakerDAO (https://makerdao.com) uses a multisig account controlled by a group of trusted community members referred to as the "alpha dynasty" to pass proposals such as paying out MKR tokens to raise money for the monthly budget or various other purposes, as well as more complicated actions such as upgrading the MakerDAO contract system.

While theoretically done out in the open since the start, in practice this whole process has been a bit of a black box since most people do not know how to follow what is happening to the multisig and what actions are being proposed, confirmed or triggered.

We have already created some relatively user-friendly command-line tools for working with the multisig (e.g. https://github.com/makerdao/mkradmin), but these are mostly intended to be used by the members of the alpha dynasty themselves.

Today we're introducing the first version of a web-based multisig dashboard, currently available at the following URL:

https://dbrock.github.io/ds-multisig-ui/#0x7bb0b08587b8a6b8945e09f1baca426558b0f06a

There's still a lot to do in terms of making the proposals intelligible, but this simple tool already allows anyone in the community to at least get some kind of overview of what is going on with the MakerDAO multisig account.

More interestingly, this tool is not specific to MakerDAO at all, but will work with any multisig using the DSEasyMultisig API (see https://github.com/nexusdev/ds-multisig).

To deploy your own multisig or Ethereum-based DAO, you might want to take a look at https://ryepdx.github.io/the-tao/.

Stay tuned and join the governance meeting!
