Make-up of the 1920s

Make-up of the 1920s: the best tutorials on Youtube

Admit it: when you are looking for information on the make-up of the 1920s, look for video tutorials in particular . So I thought about collecting the best Youtube video tutorials directly on this page. But beware: in collecting these video guides I did not pay attention to the popularity of the beauty blogger behind it or maybe to the number of views! I rather paid attention to the historical fidelity of the proposed trick. If you have read this my old post, you know that there is a lot of confusion on the net compared to vintage makeup. Better then not to further fuel this confusion.

Before leaving you with these video tutorials to make a 20s make up I would like to remind you of some points.

In the 1920s, very thin eyebrows were fashionable. Not infrequently, in fact, the women shaved their eyebrows completely and then redesigned them according to an arch as wide as it is unnatural.
In the 1920s women did not wear contouring. Contouring existed but was used above all in the theatrical or cinematic context.
Fake eyelashes were not popular even though they actually date back to the late nineteenth century. If you want to recreate a 20s make-up for Carnival, fake eyelashes are still acceptable. If you want to have perfect eyelashes even without false eyelashes aimed at the threesome: eyelash curler, mascara and brush with brush to brush the eyelashes well in order to separate them and remove any lump of mascara.
If you are used to linking the '20s make-up to silent movies (silent movies) you probably conceived this trick as very dark and almost gothic. In reality it was the techniques of film development (both photographic and cinematographic) to make the colors darker and therefore make everything a little more shady.
If you see a 20s make-up with no lips at heart, change tutorials!
That said you can enjoy enjoying the tutorials I have selected for you!

The '20s make-up, a bit like 50's make-up, is perfect for Carnival. Save this page so you are ready for next year!
