On this occasion I want to share my Macro Photography story about Grasshopper & Red Ants as well as the understanding of these two small animals :
Grasshopper
Grasshopper is a herbivorian insect subordo Caelifera in OrdoOrthoptera. This insect has an antenna that is almost always shorter than its body and also has a short ovipositor. The sound generated by some species is usually produced by rubbing the femurbelakangnya against the front wing or abdomen (called stridulation), or because flutter wings while flying. The rear femur is generally long and strong which is suitable for jumping.
These insects are generally winged, although their wings are sometimes unavailable to fly. The female locusts are generally larger than the male mantis.
Grasshoppers are very easy to find in grassy areas, grasshoppers are very many species, grasshoppers are classified as animals segmented segments, and grasshoppers are often regarded as pests for farmers.
Whereas in this life Grasshoppers have a role and benefits for this life, Here are the benefits of Grasshopper for life:
Plays an important role in the food chain
As a bird food
As a supplier of protein and minerals for those who consume them
Red Ants (Fire Insects)
Fire ant is one of the genus of the genus of the genus Solenopsis. [1] The length of the worker ant reaches 3mm and the queen queen's length reaches 6mm. [2] This type of ant is brown rather reddish. [2] These insects usually live in colonies with the number of colonies reaching up to 100,000 ants. [2] Each colony of fire ants is led by a queen of ants that produces eggs between 150 and 200 eggs daily. [2] Fire ants make mounds of earth that can reach up to 2 feet high. [2] The high mounds are usually made in open and exposed to the sun. [2] Fire ants are able to sting animals and humans. [2] The sting of the fire ant is painful. [2] Species of this genus can be identified using a microscope to determine its characteristics. [1] The characteristic of the insect is that the first waist between the abdomen and the chest can be seen clearly. [1] Second, each antenna has 10 segments. [1] This type of ant has no teeth or propodeal.
Just like grasshoppers, red ants or fire ants have their functions and benefits as well, here are some manfaan from fire ants or red ants :
Ants Useful to keep the garden from pests and diseases, because ants can prey on pests that directly damage the plants or who spread the disease in plants.
