Iceland trip part 3: so long and thanks for all the fish!

Fellow Steemians

A quick follow-up to my first posts. Yesterday we visited the capital of Iceland: Reykjavik. First stop the symphonic hall called Harpa. This building was recently finished and was delayed for a few years due to the economic crisis of Iceland in 2008. The building is the homebase of the symphonic orchestra of iceland and also serves as a conference centre, pop-podium and is suited for small theater performances. The outsice if the building is very special as you can see on the pictures I took.

In the afternone we went aboard a ship to go see some whales. Unfortunately I cannot show you some pictures at the moment as I did not make them with my phone. My girlfriend has beautiful pictures of the whale and I wil upload them as sson as I am back home.

Once I got foot on steady land it was of to the city centre. From a distance we noticed a peculiar building which turned out to be the church.

All this sightseeing made us very hungry and we were in the mood for some sushi. And sushi we got! The picture shows just one of four plates with delicious food we had. Don't forget to being a load of money because iceland is very expensive. IMG_7565.JPG Expensive, but good sushi!

Next stop is the northwest of Iceland. We will be going to Patrekfjordur and take a look around.

I will keep you posted.
