Review: mornings ...

"That's why I give you this morning. Not to record what is happening but to write what will happen "- Ricardo Chavez Castaneda

Overcoming the death of a loved one is very difficult, but especially when it occurs in someone very young and by suicide. This harsh story, intimate, painful, but with a hopeful end brings us, in the form of a newspaper, the sadness for the death of a son and a brother of a family, but also the effort to overcome such a dramatic loss. Gorgeous novel, well written, that presents a harsh reality: the loss of a brother, and the vision of the future of a young girl before the family sadness that surrounds him, but always full of hope.

Curiously, after finishing reading a book that had juvenile suicide as its main theme, I read another one that, although it is not the same, shares this problem. Accommodating one of the drawers of my desk I found this little book, as I saw it very short, it has only 55 pages, I imagined that I would read it in the blink of an eye and that's how it was.

I liked that this reading was very different from the previous one since this book is addressed to those families that have lost a loved one at the expense of the individual who made the decision to end his life. It is not easy for family members to continue with their routine, as they somehow feel guilty or question thousands of questions and doubts without getting an answer. They only have to face the situation and continue living, even if it hurts or the person is surprised.

Mananario is a book that shows us the perspective of the pain of a family after the suicide of one of its members. We will see how Ricardo's mother, father and sister feel and feel their sorrow. As little by little they are leaning to recover and overcome that great loss. Mandanario is an outlet for those emotions that we often keep for ourselves. For various reasons we silence our feelings, but somehow they have to leave. Writing works for some and it is precisely what one of the characters in this novel does. She writes in her diary about the loss of her brother. Remember great moments. He keeps missing him. He still loves him, but he needs to do more ...

I really liked this book that is part of a collection called "Leer es Vivir" by the publisher Everest. I liked that it is a reading that besides inviting us to reflect on this issue, it also offers hope, it is a book that can help those people who are living a situation similar to that of Ricardo's family. They may feel identified with a character, and they will realize that together they will be able to overcome any adversity.
