I'm working on a project (a free email based course about using core Obsidian features). As a part of the project I'm adding in some bonus content. The first piece of bonus content are ideas for things you can store in a notes app like Obsidian - or what I like to call "A List of Lists". (And, yes, I know they aren't all lists - but I can't resist that title).
What ideas would you add to my list of lists? Have any awesome examples or resources for any of these lists? Please share them in the comments.
- Notes from a meeting or conversation
- A note reminding you of things you want to ask your doctor at your next appointment
- Notes you take on an article you read
- Notes you take on a video you watch
- Notes you take from a book you're reading
- A list of quotes you love
- Journal entries
- A list of journaling prompts
- A write up of a process you have to follow regularly
- A list of all of your bills and when they are due
- Packing lists
- A "When did I last list" to keep things like when you last got the oil changed, changed the furnace filters, etc.
- A list of the serial numbers for devices around your house
- A list of go to meals you/your family loves
- A shopping list
- A wish list
- A list of goals or intentions
- A cleaning list for your home
- A home maintenance calendar list
- A list of all the roles you have in life (e.g., parent, child, sibling, supervisor, employee, etc.)
- A list of important people in your life. You could add the last time you spoke with them.
- A note that contains your personal mission, vision, and/or values.
- A list of books you've read
- A list of books you want to read
- A list of tv shows you want to watch
- A list of movies you want to see
- A podcast recommendation list
