My beginnings in video games were quite tender, I played games according to my age, and I think I never played something very strange, but when we talk about online, for my young age it was too much, I could barely turn on a PC without ruining it xD. So, this contest is a good opportunity to tell my first online experience, as you may have seen, it was with a shooter, specifically Counter-Strike 1.6, by the time of 2010/2011 I was a very quiet kid, but addicted to the PC, I loved to play anything, but I could never try the multiplayer of almost any game, all for a very simple reason, I did not know how to do it, until... My cousin (12 years older) played a lot of CS 1. 6, but I always saw that his words, actions, maps, sounds, players, etc, for me everything was very different, I remember playing in de_dust against bots, but he played in new maps, different game modes, and that made me very curious until I asked him how I could have all those things, he told me that I was too young to play it, to which I answered him that at least he could teach me how to enter the online mode, and ready, that's when I learned how to enter the deep web, wtf no, in the online mode of CS 1. 6. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ba0OCFlCcAA9LLR.jpg Despite my young age, I knew how to play CS 1.6 very well, in fact, I played against my older cousins and behaved up to par, but... Let's get into context, an 8-year-old kid playing CS 1.6 (maybe you see it as normal, but eight years ago it was not so much, I mean nowadays video games are much freer and everyone can play it without problems). So, I decided to enter a game as soon as I could, I wanted to see how much fun it would be, I remember that I entered the multiplayer mode and chose an IP and entered a server, the truth is I didn't notice anything different, everything was normal, we were playing in the inferno map, everything was fine, until what... Yes, the big level difference XD, I remember that I looked like a simple newbie, it's like if you play against the bots on easy difficulty, well, I was the bot for them, obviously, I left and entered another, after losing so many times and managed to kill less than 5 people (from behind XD) I decided to enter another one, I remember perfectly that this server was in de_dust and the mode was respawning, I loved it because I didn't have to wait for the game to end to be able to play, I just died and reappeared, here it was also a bit of the same, a disaster and the truth is that I felt incompetent. https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/10/0000002542.600x338.jpg?t=1602535893 After a few days, I kept playing and playing, I didn't even remember how it was to play with the bots, the fun was in the multiplayer mode, not only for the fact of playing with different people, but it was more fun, and the best thing is that you had many game modes to choose from. Seeing that I was really bad, I kept practicing until I became a "better newbie", I was still as bad, but I wasn't so bad anymore, many times I got so frustrated that I stopped playing, it just showed up and die, basically, that was my experience XD. Here I understood the real addiction that a shooter can create, that's why I don't criticize all the Free Fire or Fortnite addicts nowadays (of course, there is no comparison with the legendary CS 1.6). Being there with a team and being able to interact with them and feel a different treatment, apart from the great level that existed (and still exists) in the CS 1.6 servers, was just perfect, playing with bots bored me so much that I could not be without playing multiplayer, I did not find more sense to be with bots, clearly, I liked it so much that I was addicted for many months, I was not so good (logical, because of the age) but it was fun to be playing against people, since then everything changed... https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/10/0000002538.600x338.jpg?t=1602535893 From that experience, and as the years went by, I grew up and became a professional Counter-Strike 1.6 player, Ummm, no, I'm kidding xD. I was playing Counter-Strike from the age of 8, until maybe the age of 14, and as I grew up and met friends in my neighborhood, I remember that we all put together a team and went to the servers to play, we were all very good, obviously never at a competitive level, let's say we were strong players. The diversity of the game modes was incredible, I remember that one of my favorites was Zombie Escape, we had to escape from the Zombies and it was very funny, you know, CS 1.6 never had very realistic graphics or mechanics, therefore, seeing the Zombies with hyper-speed caused a lot of laughter XD. Yes, this was my first online experience, CS 1.6 brings me very nice memories, in fact, from time to time I download it again to feel that magic again, I think it would be cool to create a team between all of us and play, anyway, I don't regret to have lived this experience ever, I think many people did the same, playing CS 1. 6 is a GREAT multiplayer experience, everyone who played or at some point tried CS 1.6 knows what I'm talking about, a shooter as dynamic as fun, that drives you crazy, and also makes you enjoy with your friends. Mis comienzos en los videojuegos fueron bastante tiernos, jugaba juegos acorde a mi edad, y creo que nunca jugué algo muy extraño, pero cuando hablamos de online, para mi corta edad era demasiado, apenas podía prender una PC sin arruinarla xD. Por eso, este concurso se me hace una buena oportunidad para contar mi primera experiencia online, cómo ya habrán visto, fue con un shooter, específicamente Counter Strike 1.6, para la época de 2010/2011 yo era un niño muy tranquilo, pero adicto a la PC, me encantaba jugar lo que fuera, pero nunca pude probar el multijugador de casi ningún juego, todo por una razón muy sencilla, no sabía cómo hacerlo, hasta qué... Mi primo (12 años mayor) jugaba mucho CS 1.6, pero yo siempre veía que sus mundos, acciones, mapas, sonidos, jugadores, etc, para mí todo era muy diferente, yo recuerdo que jugaba en de_dust contra los bots, pero él jugaba en mapas nuevos, modos de juegos distintos, y eso me ponía muy curioso, hasta que le pregunté cómo podía tener todas esas cosas, el me dijo que estaba muy pequeño para poder jugarlo, a lo que le respondí que aunque sea me enseñara como entrar en el modo online, y listo, allí fue cuándo aprendí a entrar en la deep web, wtf no, en el modo online de CS 1.6. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ba0OCFlCcAA9LLR.jpg A pesar de mi corta edad, yo sabía jugar muy bien a CS 1.6, de hecho, jugaba contra mis primos mayores y me comportaba a la altura, pero... Entremos en contexto, un niño de 8 años jugando CS 1.6 (tal vez lo vean normal, pero hace ocho años no lo era tanto, me refiero a que en la actualidad los videojuegos están mucho más libres y todos pueden jugarlo sin problemas). Entonces, decidí entrar a una partida apenas pudiese, quería ver que tan divertido sería, recuerdo que entre en el modo multiplayer y elegí una IP y entré a un servidor, la verdad no notaba nada diferente, todo era normal, estábamos jugando en el mapa inferno, todo bien, hasta qué.... Sí, la gran diferencia de nivel XD, recuerdo que yo parecía un simple novato, es cómo si jugaras tu contra los bots en la dificultad fácil, bueno, yo era el bot para ellos, obviamente me salí y entré a otro, luego de perder tantas veces y lograr matar a menos de 5 personas (por la espalda XD) decidí entrar a otro, recuerdo perfectamente que este servidor era en de_dust y la modalidad era respawn, me encantaba porque no tenía que esperar que la partida terminase para poder jugar, simplemente moría y reaparecía, aquí también fue un poco de lo mismo, un desastre y la verdad es que me sentía incompetente. https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/10/0000002542.600x338.jpg?t=1602535893 Al cabo de los días, seguía jugando y jugando, ya ni recordaba cómo era jugar con los bots, la diversión estaba en el modo multijugador, no solo por el hecho de jugar con personas distintas, sino que era más divertido, y lo mejor, es que tenías muchos modos de juegos para escoger. Al ver que era muy malo, seguí practicando hasta volverme un "mejor novato", seguía siendo igual de malo, pero ya no lo era tanto, muchas veces me frustré tanto que dejaba de jugar, era aparecer y morir, básicamente ese era mi experiencia XD. Aquí entendí la verdadera adicción que un shooter puede crear, por eso es que no critico a todos los adictos al Free Fire o Fortnite actualmente (claro, no existe comparación alguna con el legendario CS 1.6). El estar allí con un equipo y poder interactuar con ellos y sentir un trato distinto, aparte del gran nivel que existía (y aún existe) en los servidores de CS 1.6, era simplemente perfecto, jugar con bots me aburría tanto que no podía estar sin jugar en multijugador, no le encontré más sentido estar con los bots, claramente, me gustó tanto que estuve adicto por muchos meses, no era tan bueno (lógico, por la edad) pero me divertía mucho estar jugando contra personas, desde ese entonces todo cambió... https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/10/0000002538.600x338.jpg?t=1602535893 A partir de esa experiencia, y con el pasar de los años, crecí y me volví un jugador profesional de Counter Strike 1.6, emmm, no, es una broma xD. Estuve jugando desde los 8 años, hasta tal vez la edad de los 14 años a Counter Strike, y al crecer y conocer amigos de mi barrio, recuerdo que todos armábamos un equipo e íbamos a los servidores a jugar, todos éramos muy buenos, obviamente nunca a nivel competitivo, digamos que éramos jugadores fuertes. La diversidad de los modos de juego era increíble, recuerdo que uno de mis favoritos fue Zombie Escape, teníamos que escapar de los Zombies y era muy gracioso, ya saben, CS 1.6 nunca tuvo gráficos o mecánicas muy realistas que digamos, por ende, ver a los Zombies con hipervelocidad causaba mucha risa XD. Sí, esta fue mi primera experiencia online, CS 1.6 me trae muy bonitos recuerdos, de hecho, de vez en cuando vuelvo a descargarlo para sentir esa magia otra vez, creo que sería cool crear un team entre todos y jugar, en fin, no me arrepiento de haber vivido esta experiencia nunca, creo que a muchos les pasó lo mismo, jugar CS 1.6 es una GRAN experiencia multijugador, todos los que jugábamos o algún momento probaron CS 1.6 saben de lo que hablo, un shooter tan dinámico cómo divertido, que te vuelve loco, y además, te hace disfrutar con tus amigos.
