Look what I decided to pamper myself with today. My phone rang and my PC supplier told me that this baby just came in stock today. I was searching for a high refresh rate gaming monitor that is also suitable for my animation production uses too. After much research, this is considered one of the best flat-panel gaming monitors out there in the market now. I think I could also be the first few to get my hands on this as the Gigabyte stock of this model has just arrived in Malaysia this morning.

Why do I need a flat panel instead of the trending curve monitors every gamer is using these days? Well, for one, I need to use my monitor to do my animation and productions works on it so any distortion on the monitor isn't quite the best for it. If you're all for just immersive gaming, by all means, there are other better monitors out there.

This is a HUGE monitor. A smacking 32 inch monitor with a IPS panel. If you like a good contrast and picture perfect monitor, go for IPS panels. The other big factor for gaming on this monitor is the refresh rate. This holds a good 165Hz from the normal 60-75Hz monitors. This means your screen refreshes faster and you will see everything sharper and clearer when there is motion in play. One of the other only feature Gigabyte monitors in the M-series has is the KVM function. KVM allows you to connect several devices be it your phone, ipad, laptop, tv directly behind the monitor inputs and you can switch/duplicate screens by just a tap of the KVM button. Pretty good when you're in production having to use more than a single screen.

I would say the overbuild is really premium and sturdy. I love that the monitor can can almost pivot any direction. There's a bar to lift the monitor's height and it can rotate up down left right. You know when a monitor is of good quality when the turning is sturdy.

If I would to give a final verdict to this monitor, I would give is a 9/10. Price wise is worth it for the quality it brings. I got this monitor for about MYR2350 (580 USD). If you're looking for a flat panel all rounder monitor for home uses, gaming, production use, this is THE monitor to go for. I'm starting to enjoy looking at my screen now.
