Happy 4th of July to you, especially my American friends. What a lovely day it was to walk the Freedom Trail in Boston. Hope you enjoy these pictures, from Boston Common to the Training Field near Bunker Hill.
And now, a poem:
FREEDOM
Are you free because you can do what you want
To say what you feel, to act nonchalant
Though such freedom one may equate eloquence
But in truth there's no freedom without consequence
Are you free because there are laws that surround
Social contracts to let opportunities abound
That freedom is the choice of your laws
Even though its well known such choice has it's flaws
However you choose to enjoy being free
There can only be freedom with responsibility
Such high morals as honesty and accountability
Are the bedrock for freedom's integrity
Happy fourth!
