It’s been 30 days since our last Day of Remembrance.
As a kid I never liked going through the ritual. It was nice to have the day off from school, but hunger drove me nuts. That said, as an adult with a family, I’ve grown to appreciate the reminder of what things were like before The Appearance, what was taken from us and to take stock of what we have.
I was lucky to have lenient parents who only bought candles that burned for 18 hours and not the traditional 36.
What have you been most thankful for since the Day of Remembrance?
For me it’s the food. Always the food.
