The Responsibilities Taken

No matter the number you multiply with zero, the result will still be zero. In the same way, it does not matter the level of help someone renders to you, there is still a part that you must play for yourself in order for the help to make meaning - and that is where your responsibilities lie.

Maturity does not come by reason of how many years you have spent but how many responsibilities you have taken and the experiences you have gathered. Someone may be able to give you food or even feed you, but you are the one to take the responsibility of chewing the food and swallowing it, otherwise you will go hungry.

Your confessions and your professions are good but there are things that do not get achieved by just speaking about them. For example, a farmer that refuses to sow seeds and just confesses abundance with his mouth will go hungry when the time of harvest comes.

No matter how someone loves you and how much they are willing to support you, the truth remains that they cannot do everything for you. There is nothing as frustrating as being dependent on someone for everything.

It is the responsibilities you take that will take you further in life and will prove your maturity. Remember this, maturity is not a gift but a work you must perform consciously. Refusing to take responsibilities is refusing maturity.

One of the things that differentiates a child from an adult is the level of responsibility they take. If your responsibility does not grow, then your maturity will also be affected - so make the choice to take responsibilities.
