Anyone Else Burning the Midnight Oil?

Funny question, actually. As steemit folks hail from around the world, what is midnight for me is noon for my brothers and sisters in Beijing.

But I wonder how many of us are up now and through the night. Up, perhaps, tending to a sick child.
My children are in their teens now, but how many nights did I spend awake when my oldest was young, and I was afraid to sleep in case she had another seizure. If that is you tonight, I wish you peace and your child, good health.

How many are up working to make another dollar, because every dollar matters, as the month has not yet come to a close, but the money in the bank is nearing its end.
If that is you, tonight, I wish you peace and prosperity.

How many of us are up worrying about a family member or praying for those caught up in a natural disaster. If that is you, tonight, I wish you peace and serenity.

How many are up enjoying the quiet solitude that the middle of the night brings. Many believe that the most productive hours of the day are those right before dawn. For me, my most productive hours are those between 11pm and 2am.

How many are up enjoying time alone with their spouse, perhaps the first chance they have had to be together all day. If that is you, tonight, I wish you love and joy in this moment.

For those in the steemit community that are up and reading and writing posts at this time of the day, whatever time of the day it is for you, thank you for being online sharing my night with me.
