Slow Saturday Evenings

Sometimes it is good to slow down. We all have to do lists. Our common reply is I’m busy or oh I’m good. We go so fast we can miss the person in front of us. Our list is so big we’re already on to number two before number one is finished.

Yet, what are we bustling towards? After all the lists are done and the tasks complete, is there anyone to celebrate our achievement? Are there people cheering us on as we work?

Covid-19 has woken us all up to the importance of relationships. Sure we finished a few things around the house and cleaned up that honey do list. The people we are blessing and loving as we work is what why we did it.

It is good to sit. An old soul does not have to be old in the body. A young person at heart does not have to be at the end of their days. We can all learn to sit and breathe. There is always an opportunity to say, “I’m grateful.”
