24 is an American television series that falls into the categories of action and drama. Personally, this series called my attention so much because of its revolutionary format in which a chapter is one hour in the series so as its name says each season has 24 chapters which is equal to one day per season. This series is quite long To be honest, it has eight seasons, each with 24 chapters, and a ninth season of 12 chapters.
Each season of 24 narrates the events within the life of Jack Bauer, a special American federal agent who works in the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) of Los Angeles, California. The theme is based on different terrorist attacks that threaten the national security of the United States and the efforts of Jack, CTU and the rest of the security forces to stop them.
Jack is known for how good he is in his work and for how effective he is in each mission assigned to him, so effective that he is capable of anything to accomplish them, including working alone or even against his own people.
The series begins to get interesting when Terri and Kim, wife and daughter of Jack are kidnapped. Once in contact with Jack, the kidnapper tells him that the only way to see his family alive again was to kill David Palmer, a senator of the country, but also a presidential candidate who, if elected, would become the first black president of the country.
It was quite obvious that Jack was not going to assassinate Palmer, he will actually get to work on a new mission: rescue his family and prevent the senator from dying, and as if it was not interesting enough, all this happens on election day.
