I came across a man who can translate Aramaic, and he has been translating parts of the original Bible from Aramaic to English. Most of the bibles people have read in the US have been translated from Aramaic to greek to Latin and then to Englis. So it's pretty awesome to hear the Lord's prayer from Aramaic straight to English! (And it was spoken, I had to pause and write down each stanza.)
So much more poetic than our diluted version, enjoy!
Oh cosmic birther of all radiance and vibration, soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your presence can abide.
Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.
Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire. Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow to and flourish.
Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.
Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of our present moment.
For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth power and fulfillment as all is gathered and made whole once again. And so it is.
I thought I'd share that with you guys, to keep my toe in here while I muddle through the busy season, aka every-vineyard-is-trimming-at-the-same-time-and-we're-trying-to-keep-up!
Not at all complaining, orders are up from last year which is definitely needed during this depreciation of the dollar.
We've been super fortunate with weather so far, but I know the bigger temp drop is coming!
If only the skies would stay blue, it wouldn't bother me so much. But the grey is already permeating...
I'll have to create my own blue sky mentality and make it a great season anyway!
