Restaurant Closures Causing More Pain For Small Businesses

Thousands of small businesses have been lost over the past year around the world because of the pandemic and throughout the U.S. many of those businesses have been small food vendors and restaurants.

Now those small businesses are seeing trouble again with a number of chains looking to close down their establishments because of issues with staffing struggles, and the nervousness that many customers have with dining right now as reports continue to spread the message of a delta-driven infections spreading.

In the summer things were starting to really pick up for dining and just recently they were seeing pre-pandemic demand for ordering at those establishments but now the variant cases are causing concern once more. The pain isn't over for this industry yet and who knows how many more might not make it through the difficulties that are still posed by the pandemic and the government in trying to deal with it.

Even Chick-fil-A has had to close down because of staffing issues.

Big and small food businesses are feeling the pain in trying to find employees to help them meet the demand they have been seeing. This crisis has prompted several closures of Chick-fil-A restaurants, and other restaurants are feeling it too.

McDonald's has also made the move to close dining rooms because of the variant cases and we might see more restaurants soon do the same if they think things are getting worse. This means food companies will continue to look to drive thru to help them to be able to get through the storm and continue to grow.

Both franchises and small restaurant businesses are having a difficult time right now and the ongoing pressure of having those dining rooms closed might eventually cause some to re-think their business strategy altogether and perhaps get rid of more dining area spaces for takeout, delivery, and drive-thru to flourish.
