Tens of millions of Americans are planning on taking a trip for the July 4th holiday. It is estimated that somewhere between 40 to 100 million or more will be looking to get out and visit with friends or family for the celebrations that take place.
Millions will also be planning to spend for the occasion too, the average is expected to be around $500 or more on Independence Day
Most will be planning to travel by car and the amount that are ready to get out and travel looks to be about double the amount that was seen out on Memorial Day.
A number of communities around the U.S. are already planning celebrations and fireworks events. As well, there are also a number of other festivities to find that have food and live music concerts etc.
While the holiday has become about hamburgers, drinking, and fireworks for some, for others it is a time to reflect on history and a time to consider all the many ways that people living in the United States aren't free and how they have had their liberty infringed for decades in one way or another.
Now that things are reopening though there are many will will no doubt find that reason enough to celebrate. Air travel is already picking up for the summer and this holiday is expected to give it a big push as more areas look to increasingly ease up on their pandemic restrictions that might still be in place.
