Remember When HIVE was STEEM and STEEM was HIVE?

The community that was thriving on the STEEM blockchain followed the HIVE fork and continues to thrive here. Some people don't like mentioning STEEM, treating it like some dark history that must be forgotten, but the reality is that the old STEEM community is the current HIVE community. Some continue posting on both, which I have no problem with.

In 2017, a sivler token was commissioned for the STEEM community which could be purchased using STEEM. The obverse featured the iconic STEEM logo, with the words "FINE SILVER 1OZ ARGENT PUR". It's written in english and french, since that's what they do in Canada where it was minted.

My favorite part of the token is the depiction on the reverse. Featuring the various aquatic animal from many red fish and minnows all the way to a few dolphins, an orca and a whale - all swimming around a proof STEEM logo with the word "community" written in several languages.

It is one of the most handsome coins in my collection and it recalls many fond memories.

This became a part of a series of STEEM silver rounds, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
