Profound knowledge

The system of profound knowledge teaches you to inspect processes not outcomes.

Deming was very blunt by using the following quote to say if you don't know the system of profound knowledge it's just busy work.

"It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and then do your best." - W. Edwards Deming

He even goes on further to say that if you're inspecting outcomes and not processes there's a real good chance you could destroy your company.

The entire premise of the system of profound knowledge is to give you a knowledge point in making your decisions about whether to inspect processes or outcomes.

If you inspect processes you know what you're doing.

If you inspect outcomes you don't know what you're doing.

That's why the knowledge is profound.
