JStark - You will be remembered

Sadly, JStark passed away, apparently of a heart attack. Some people do have epsteinish suspicions, as a german guy myself i dont think thats how our authorities operate.

You were a good man and will not be forgotten. Enabling the common man to excercise his right to bear arms wether their governments acknowledge that right or not. Your legacy will live on in Deterrence Dispensed.

It is sad to lose him, he will be mourned. Let us not forget, however, that he did indeed live free and then died. I personaly feel very much at peace with the situation as i raise a glass to him. And i believe he would not be to broken up about it as not only did he live free and then die, his legacy will live on.

On the legal side of things, most he couldve gotten anyways would be 5 years, that would be the highest sentence one could get for firearm related offences in germany outside of gang or commercial activity where 10 years is the maximum. And thats even if you trade with them. Arguably it could even just be a fine since he didnt commit any serious offence ("minder schwerer Fall") seen as information such as instructions for building firearms is not illegal and what he personaly did didnt endanger anyone - now the spreading of information people will argue could, but thats not illegal and as such would not be part of the consideration (also, no actual crime has thus far been committed with those guns as far as im aware. The type of people to build firearms are not peple that would initiate violence). That is all assuming they could prove it all which with proper due process which we still have in court despite tyrannical laws and all would actualy not be that easy.

Full disclosure though:
I personaly for myself am for now if anything looking at ways to arm yourself without violating gun laws. Bows, for example are unregulated and can still be quite useful indeed, such as the Legolini.
We dont have an ATF in germany and things do have to be explicitly illegal accordingly for there to be a problem and our courts roboticly follow the law to the letter. A gauss or a railgun if it does not have a barrel and is designed to comply with german law certainly could not only be powerful enough to use against Panzers but at the same time also be legal. Just a thought. Espacialy as i love to spread information regarding homemade firearms i can not afford to give them a reason to go after me.
And knowing i will defend myself against intruders, wether they have a warrant or not (which could be illegal for me to defend myself if they do have a warrant and comply with all the rules) certainly doesnt justify doing so. Arguably it should deter them. Yes, there is quite a difference between german and american law enforcement.
