皆さんは、Mr. Children の ''Tomorrow never knows'' という歌を知っていますか？1994年の11月にリリースされた彼らの6枚目のシングルです。この曲はミリオンセラーとなり大ヒットしました。若いSteemianの方はまだ生まれていないでしょうね。
Mr. Children は1989年にバンドを結成し、1992年にメジャーデビューしました。 もう20年以上も第一線で活躍しています。
実はこのPVを撮影したのがオーストラリアなのです。メルボルンのシティとオーストラリアの国家遺産であるグレート・オーシャンロードという地で撮影されています。
Hi, Steemian! Let me explain about one of well known Japanese music band ''Mr. Children''. Mr. Children is a pop rock band formed in 1989. They made their major debut in 1992. As a group, they are one of the best selling artists in Japan and one of the most successful Japanese rock artists, having sold over 50 million records.
Their 6th single, "Tomorrow never knows'' which released in November 1994, is their number one selling single so far. This song's PV was shot in Melbourne city and regional places throughout Victoria state in Australia.

最初のシーンはメルボルンの街中です。The first scene was shot in Melbourne CBD.
メリーゴーランドに乗ったシーンはこの｢Luna Park｣という遊園地の中で撮影されています。
The scene of riding on a carousel was shot at Luna Park in St. Kilda, Melbourne, an amusement park where was opened in 1912.
海沿いの桟橋は、シティの近くにあるSt. Kildaというビーチ沿いの桟橋で撮影されたと思います。ここには幾つか桟橋があるので、写真の桟橋とは違うかもしれません。このビーチはいつも観光客やローカルの人で賑わっています。

電車に乗って郊外を走っているシーンはビクトリア州の長距離列車である''V Line''の上で撮っています。

この電車は現在の車輌です。24年前とはだいぶ違いますね。

そして最後のサビのシーンはグレートオーシャンロードの最大の観光地、｢Twelve Apostles (十二使徒)｣の崖の上から撮っています。あの頃はドローンがなかったので、ヘリコプターを飛ばして撮影したようです。ここに初めて行った時は、言葉も出ないほど美しかったです。
The scene of standing on the cliff, chorus of the song, was shot at the site of Twelve Apostles. If the song came out at present, the scene could have been taken from a Drone camera. It was an incredible view to see a collection of limestone stacks over the outlook!
