02:40 AM - We have a local group that would meet on Tuesdays talking about survival tips. I replied to an email a secound ago. Randy, that is good news. I agree with Kelly on CB. I have an old CB radio thing. I'm a computer and electronic person. So, I know how to assemble computers but I've no experience working with CB. My brother did Ham Radio when he was in high school. CB is good. Another idea would be to have walky talkies as well. I'm a computer person like I said and it is possible to wirelessly connect computers with other computers without the need to go through Comcast or other internet service providers. I'm just trying to say that there are many options out there in regards to backup plans, etc, as better safe than sorry.

10:45 AM - 06:50 PM - Stacked fire wood until they fell and then restacked them. Cleaning off the patio. Sweep. Spray. Scrub. Painted the poles of the so-called wood shed or extended patio cover. Cut the grass. Helped with sprinkling weed killer on the lawn. Moved the picnic table and then we moved back. I helped bring out a table that was then assembled. Moved the BBQ grill back there. Dishes. Mom joined the Me We website which is an alternative social network to Facebook.

If you or others want to know how to connect computers, phones, etc, to other devices, you first should know that is called peer to peer (P2P) or ad-hoc or what I like to call decentralized Internet. One example might be Bit Torrent or IPFS. Some of this might be confusing for those who are unfamiliar with different terms.

As an introduction to some of these things, I wanted to simply give you a quick summary to this. I've included a few links below. But you can also search for more information or ask me questions. You can Google it. You could probably find YouTube videos and how-to articles online that talk about some of these things.

There are different people who are working on trying to make the Internet more decentralized so that we can have more free speech. The Internet might be, to use an analogy, like many highways and roads.

I'm a big fan of decentralization. There are different ways to connect computers to other computers, etc. I can talk all day about it. Long story. Kind of complex depending on a few different things.
