Azulejos [ITA/ENG]
"Azulejos" is the name of the typical painted tin-glazed ceramic tile work in Portugal that decorate the facades of many palaces, churches etc... They're used to keep away the humidity, controlling the temperature of the houses, but also they're considered as an ornamental art. IN fact, when you see all the houses with such beautiful decoration you immediately fall in love. In Lisbon you can also find a Museum dedicated to the azulejos, and an italian guy that moved to Lisbon created a contemporary version of them, a "surreal" version, calling them "Surrealejos".
This series is dedicated to one of the most peculiar things of the State I love the most.
