Bitcoin rally appears to have come to a halt or just taking a breather, as the Bitcoin Gold split comes to pass despite low or no support from exchanges. The market gained $2.233Billion a 1.34% rise to close (GMT+11) at $169.341Billion while volume traded was a huge $5.756Billion a high 71.05% increase from the previous day. A total of 1194 cryptocurrencies and 5,987 market pairs were traded. Bitcoin's market dominance rose to 55.8% of the total market cap.

DASH was our biggest gainer recording a 10.62% growth with a 47.36% rise in volume, while Bitcoin recorded the biggest loss of 3.11% despite a 61.30% rise in volume and 53.73% of total market volume. As funds moved from BTC to Altcoins, we saw NEO moved up one spot swapping places with BCC to occupy the No.8 spot, as all other coins retained their spots. The top Ten cryptos combined market cap grew marginally by 0.31% to close at $149.052Billion controlling 88.02% of the total market capitalization, while the remaining cryptos market cap rose significantly by 9.55% to close at $20.289Billion.
