Not intended as an introduction.....
But more of a "who the hell is this guy?". I doubt anyone really reads the introductory posts when people have never posted before. Why not? Because I, like pretty much everyone else on earth, is probably not as interesting to others as I would like to imagine.
On the other hand once I write some wonderful piece of information or opinion you will undoubtably ask yourself who the heck wrote it, at which point this post fulfill its destiny.
So who am I is and why is I blogging....
I am an American software engineer who has had a variety of previous careers. I have been in the military, owned a restaurant, been an over the rode truck driver and finally in my late thirties went back to college to become a software engineer. Wasn't sure what to major in, but thought "computer science, that sounds like it might have a future". Turned out to be a good guess.
So why should I blog?
Well not because I think anyone give a crap what I have to say, but to put out content on anything that is not social media 1.0. I loved the web when it first became publicly available and I hate what it has become. A huge online shopping center where everyone strictly adheres to a herd mentality and people lose their livelihoods because someone felt offended.
So I am hoping the "new social media" will see a return to free speech and more importantly free thought. Oh yeah and also since I have worked from home for over a year I never, ever talk to anyone during the day other than my two cats and one dog. So hopefully this will give me someone to talk to, even if it's just a blog page, about my favorite subjects, mainly, but not limited to, crypto trading.
