Yep, that's me

Okay, let's start with a boring basic introduction, my name is Sascha from Holland. I am a 22 years old Dutch village girl working on a flower farm for summer season๐ŸŒท

Usually I am leaving the country for winter to anywhere my heart leads me. All starting just after my 18th birthday. Supposed to be a short trip before my study... But..

I changed my thinking, it changed my life. I don't have to do what everyone does. I don't have to study right away after highschool. I don't have to dream of making a shitload of money. I just wanna be happy and with this decisions in my mind I could make it to travel for 2 years. And most important, I started realizing how beautiful life is and especially how magnificent the world we live in is ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’œ

You wanna know why traveling is so amazing? Well, it is all about the people you meet on the way and the experiences you make. Every place is so different and I haven't felt that feeling of being stuck in that daily routine. I guess I gotta give you a few examples.

  • Exploring the temples in Thailand and making some monkey friends while a whole new world opened up for me and I learned how to do scuba diving. Really, I can't even describe that feeling I got the first weeks.

  • Hitching on a cargo through the Maldives for a week (yes, the maldives is bigger than Holland with over a 1000 islands) And Maldives also does not have to be only for rich people. I mostly did Couchsurfing overthere when I wasn't on the Cargo and that brought me to unique, untouristic places.

diving with tigersharks was definitely my Maldives Highlight

  • Spending a year in the Philippines and making it my second home, making great friends and I wouldn't mind living there one day. One of the coolest things I did was shooting a gun at a military camp. I met some army guys at the beach and somehow they invited me for a session.

Isla gigantes, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen๐ŸŒŠ

  • And going to India to stay in a crazy community and experience Holi festival. Look, this is Flory, don't leave your kitchen open in India! Ohh and Flory was pregnant. She gave birth a week later ๐Ÿฎ โ™ฅ We also had a pregnant hostel cat who almost gave birth on my bed. Hostels cqn be crazy ๐ŸŽˆ

Colors everywhere, I would love it to go back next time and just do street photography on this most colourful day of the year ๐ŸŽจ

  • Working in the Austrian mountains for winter season, learning how to snowboard and I also got to meet there the love of my life, the always happy, black man from Ghana, Jamaica and Austria. Really, I can't wait to meet my mother in law some day, good reason for some nice holidays ๐ŸŒด โ˜€ ๐ŸŒŠ

I also visited Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, French, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Belgium.

My other passion is photography, since I am a little girl I love it already to make pictures of the horses at the farm, but especially of flowers and butterflies since pictures got such a nice bokeh, that means that the subject is sharp and the background is blurry. Really, I could be so proud on those pictures. Sadly, a computer crash let me loose all those silly childhood pictures. But the hobby goes on and I can always make new ones, improve my skills just enjoy.

I hope you guys likes my post and I am glad to be part of the Hive community. Thank for giving me the opportunity to join!
